We’ve been focusing a lot these days on our incoming class for the fall, but for those of you interested in joining UMBC in a future semester, don’t worry—we haven’t forgotten about you. We still heart our prospective students. And I’m sure you have lots of questions, so don’t be shy! Send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org), give us a call at 410.455.2292 or, better yet, stop by the office and pay us a visit. You don’t even need to make an appointment! Every weekday between 8:30 and 4:30 there is someone from the admissions counseling staff “on call” to meet with walk-ins.
Visiting campus is a really great way to get a feel for the school and see if you might like it here. Many days, we offer information sessions (conducted by Admissions staff) at 11:30, followed by a campus tour at 12. You’ll experience UMBC in a nutshell. Check out the schedule of information sessions and sign up at http://www.umbc.edu/undergraduate/experience/tour.html.
If you’d rather join us for a more intensive event, consider attending one of our Summer Preview Days. These take place on July 11 and August 4. The day-long program will give you the opportunity to meet faculty and staff from different departments, attend workshops and information sessions, and tour not only the campus but some specific campus facilities and departments as well.
Hope to hear from you soon!
