Fall 2011 Visual Arts applicants: Please note that one of the portfolio review days has been changed. The May review will now be held on May 16th.  That means that you have two more opportunities to submit your portfolio:  April 1st and May 16th 2011.

The Arts on Campus…

“Thoughtographs”? What is that?  Ted Serios believed he could place images on Polaroid material with his mind.  Don’t believe me?  Check out this intriguing show at the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery through March 27th.  For more details about the collection go to: <http://aok.lib.umbc.edu/specoll/Eisenbud/index.php>

Are you ready for some ear candy?  Here are some of your opportunities:

March 2nd: Continuum, an internationally-acclaimed music ensemble that is based out of NY. http://www.continuum-ensemble-ny.org/.  8 pm, Fine Arts Recital Hall. $7 general admission, $3 seniors, free for students, free with a UMBC ID.

March 11th and 12th: UMBC Jazz Festival! http://www.umbc.edu/music/about/ensemble_jazz.php. Admission is free. Donations suggested.

March 2nd-6th UMBC Theatre Department will present the play GRRL PARTS.

How can that title not catch your attention?  You will be witnessing “…tales of support and betrayal among women”.  Now, I know that can get interesting.
